The First Coast Black Nurses Association, Inc. is a professional organization of  Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and student Nurses who contribute to improving the quality of life in persons who share the African heritage and other ethnic groups by:

• Investigating, defining and advocating for their care needs.
• Educating mentoring Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Nursing Students
• Building consumer knowledge and understanding of health care issues.
• Implementing strategies that ensure access to health care equal to or above health care standards of the United States standards
• Facilitating the professional development and career advancement of nurses in the emerging healthcare system
